The Africa Private Sector Summit (APSS), a Pan-African continental trade and business promotion action group has appointed Mr. Austin Gamey, Chief Executive Officer of Gamey and Gamey Group as its Executive Administrator.
Mr. Gamey, an acclaimed labour expert and negotiator, will support, facilitate, and coordinate APSS Council activities in collaboration with the Pan African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PACCI), African Business Council (ABC), and other stakeholders.
He is also expected to work for adopting the Member of Heads of State Protocols through the AfBC to guide the smooth implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
A statement signed by J. Wendell Addy, Chairperson, and Kingsley K.N. Asah, Board Secretary of APSS, expressed optimism that Mr. Gamey’s wealth of experience and knowledge would add significant value to the operations of the Summit.
APSS seeks to convene the private sector, public sector, CSO, Labour, and Academia from Africa and the Diaspora, to advocate favourable governance, legal, regulatory, policy, commercial, trade, and investment environment that promotes business, investment, and marketing in Africa at the back of RECs protocols drawing from the establishment of AfCFTA.
As a facilitative group to formal advocacy bodies like PACCI, ABC, Trade, Business and Manufacturing Associations, and others, APSS focuses on the enablers that would propel the implementation of protocols of RECs and AfCFTA to deliver sustainable growth in Africa.
