The Ghana National Association of ADR Practitioners (GNAAP) has launched its 2019 Annual General Conference with a promise of promoting increased adoption of ADR among Ghanaians for the effective resolution of disputes.

This year’s 6th Annual General Conference, slated to start from May 10, 2019 with an ADR outreach event, has the theme, “The Place of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in Contemporary Ghana.”

Dubbed, “GNAAP Day,” the outreach event, which will precede the main conference, is to engage the public to promote the adoption of ADR.

A statement signed by Isaac Asare, Administrator of GNAAP, said the outreach programme, which would be held at the Resolution Zone, IPLS campus, Festus Junction, off Pokuase-Amanfrom Road, is in line with GNAAP’s social responsibility, as well as its objective of publicizing ADR practice in Ghana.

The activities to be undertaken on the day include, “Free counselling, conflict coaching, lodgement of cases, and resolution of cases through the Centre for Citizens Empowerment.”

“Members of the public will have the opportunity to interact with our members and seek the necessary advice they desire,” it said.

The statement said the outreach event will be followed by the association’s annual general conference on May 11 at the Midwifery and Nurses Hostel at Shiashe in Accra.
