The Institute of Human Resources Management Practitioners, Ghana (IHRMP) has organized a two-day workshop on Training Facilitation for Training Instructors at the Prison Officers Training School in Accra.
The training programme was aimed at improving the designing and delivering of training by Training Instructors of Ghana Prison Service.
In his opening remarks, the Director of HR, Ghana Prison Service, Mr. K.K. Kpeli said, “Training is a learning process that involves the acquisition of knowledge, sharpening of skills, concepts, rules, or changing of attitudes and behaviours to enhance the performance of employees.
It is a continuous process by which an employee actually gets the knowledge and gets to know how he or she can perform well in the organization.” He further urged the participants to take full advantage of the two-day training session to learn as much as they could to further build their capacity for better performance in the training of officers who pass through their hands.
Mr. Leonard Quarcoopome, a seasoned HR professional, served as the Resource Person from IHRMP who facilitated the workshop. He also serves as an executive member of the National Governing Council of IHRMP.
