The Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) Law School has secured a new international academic partnership that will allow one exceptional GIMPA Law final-year student or alumni to pursue a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree annually at Brigham Young University (BYU) Law School on a fully-funded scholarship.
This development follows the participation of Dr. Kwaku Agyeman-Budu, Dean of the GIMPA Law School, in the 32nd Annual Law and Religion Symposium hosted by the International Center for Law and Religion Studies at BYU Law School in Provo, Utah, USA where he delivered a paper.
While in Provo, Dr. Agyeman-Budu held strategic meetings with Prof. David H. Moore, Dean of BYU Law, as well as the leadership of BYU Law’s Global and LL.M Programmes. The discussions resulted in an agreement for GIMPA Law to annually nominate one outstanding candidate for consideration to pursue a Master of Laws Degree (LL.M) at BYU Law on a full scholarship package, covering tuition, airfare, accommodation and a monthly stipend.
Dr. Agyeman-Budu noted that the partnership signifies “a concrete step in strengthening GIMPA’s international academic footprint, while expanding high-level graduate training opportunities for our top talents in law.”
The Dean of GIMPA Law School further welcomed the initiative, describing it as “a major milestone that reinforces GIMPA Law’s growing global engagements and its commitment to creating pathways for world-class legal education.”
