Corporate leadership training begins in Accra

A special purpose workshop training to equip professionals in the corporate world on leadership and organisational effectiveness has begun in Accra.

The three-day workshop organised by Gamey and Gamey Group is aimed at providing and equipping professionals with requisite management skills, knowledge and communication skills to be outstanding leaders and to enhance organisational effectiveness.

The participants include human resource managers, department heads from public institutions and business executives.

Among other objectives, the training is to equip them with vital skills and strategies that would help them to enhance the operations of their organisations.

It is also aimed at enhancing organisational culture and cooperation among staff.

Also, the training is expected to build the participants to act as change agents to rally employees towards increased productivity and operational effectiveness in their organisations.

Mrs Lizzy-Ann Kwagbezi and Madam Esther Fefoame, both corporate trainers and facilitators of the workshop, said it remains vital for managers to secure skills that would enable them to lead and ensure harmony at the workplace effectively.

In an interview with ADR Daily, some of the participants lauded the objectives of the training.

Mr Mathias Dugu, Finance Director at the Ghana Institute of Journalism, described the training as “highly beneficial”.

Madam Francis Shirley, the operations executive at Ahantaman Rural Bank also found the training essential and believes it would enhance their performance at work.
