He explained that the TTU, like other educational institutions, has experienced constraints in its ability to act especially in effecting changes and implementing viable policies because of lack of ownership of vision and policies by workers.

He noted that the new leadership system has to create a platform to enable workers at the lower level to consider themselves as part of the leadership and the development and implementation of strategies.

The lack of ownership of the vision by all workers, he said has been the root cause of ineffective leadership at various levels in the country.

He also noted that his administration will go all length to build a strong relationship with the workforce and create a very robust work environment that will complement the core competencies of their staff while at the same time not leaving room for any dissonance character to survive in the institution.

The Pro-Vice Chancellor lauded the objectives of the workshop, which aimed at equipping management leaders with modern core competencies for efficiency and dispute resolution, saying managers must have such vital leadership skills for the survival of organisations.
