The Takoradi Technical University (TTU) is revamping its institutional system with an all-inclusive leadership strategy to ensure high efficiency through its new collaborative leadership style.
The new system is being rolled out in its quest to becoming the most preferred technical university in the country.
The Pro-Vice Chancellor , Victor Kweku Bondzie Micah made this known to ADR Daily at the closing ceremony of a two-day Masterpiece Workshop on Executive Management of Organizational Effectiveness and Managing Differences organized by Gamey and Gamey Group at Senchi near Akosombo.
According to Prof Micah, it has become essential for the university to pursue a shift in the scheme of leadership to enhance productivity.

He explained that the TTU, like other educational institutions, has experienced constraints in its ability to act especially in effecting changes and implementing viable policies because of lack of ownership of vision and policies by workers.
He noted that the new leadership system has to create a platform to enable workers at the lower level to consider themselves as part of the leadership and the development and implementation of strategies.
The lack of ownership of the vision by all workers, he said has been the root cause of ineffective leadership at various levels in the country.

He also noted that his administration will go all length to build a strong relationship with the workforce and create a very robust work environment that will complement the core competencies of their staff while at the same time not leaving room for any dissonance character to survive in the institution.
The Pro-Vice Chancellor lauded the objectives of the workshop, which aimed at equipping management leaders with modern core competencies for efficiency and dispute resolution, saying managers must have such vital leadership skills for the survival of organisations.
