The Gamey and Gamey Alumni Association has held its 2nd annual conference in Accra with a call on members to actively support the progress of the Appropriate Dispute Resolution (ADR) industry in Ghana.
That, the association believes, would help to promote the delivery of quality ADR services to save Ghanaians from the repercussions of litigation in court.
The conference, which was held in Accra on Friday, was attended by dozens of graduates of the Gamey and Gamey Institute’s Professional Executive Masters in ADR programme.
Among other objectives, the association aims at promoting networking among the members, share experiences for skills development and building partnership in the management of cases.
As part of the conference, which created the platform for brainstorming on issues related to the development of the association and the ADR industry in general, an election was held for a new executive to lead the group.
Mr Saeed Musa-Khaleepha was elected as the new President of the association, while Mr Seedik Abu-Bakr was elected as the Vice President.
The others are Mr Francis Kweku Asamoah, General Secretary; Mr Manasseh Nyassem, Deputy General Secretary; Mr John Otsere Darku, Financial Secretary; Mr Enoch Ofori, Treasurer; and Mr Bright Sconi, Organizer.
In his remarks, Mr Musa-Khaleepha expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in them and gave assurance that they would deliver on their mandate to reinvigorate the association.
He appealed to members to take an active interest in the programmes of the association to derive the desired benefits for the enhancement of their ADR practice.
