The Health Accounting Staff Association of Ghana (HASAG) is set to present a Draft Condition of Service to the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) for negotiations.

This follows the completion of the drafting of the association’s proposed Condition of Service that would serve as the basis for engagement with the government in the quest to enhance the welfare of its members across the country.

Among other things, the development of the proposed Condition of Service, facilitated by leading labour consulting firm, Gamey and Gamey Group, is a vital step for the progress of HASAG.

HASAG was recently granted a collective bargaining certificate by the Chief Labour Officer of the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations (MELR), empowering the association to negotiate with the government through the Fair Wages and Salary Commission (FWSC).

The executive of HASAG is poised for negotiations with FWSC

During a brief presentation of the draft proposal to the leadership of the Association, the Chief Executive Officer of Gamey and Gamey Group, Austin Gamey stated that the submission of the proposal to the FWSC would pave the way for HASAG to request a meeting with the Commission to discuss the specifics of how the association’s proposed condition of service can be realised.

He, therefore, urged the executives to actively participate in the upcoming negotiations to collectively achieve favourable outcomes

Emmanuel Kofi Dennis Amoah, National President of HASAG, in response, expressed gratitude to the Gamey and Gamey team for their invaluable assistance in developing the proposal.

He was optimistic that the implementation of the proposal would help to address the many concerns of their members for improved welfare that would translate to increase in productivity.
