Joenaa Cakes & Bakes, a fast growing bakery and catering services firm in Accra, has offered to provide breakfast for participants of the upcoming Afadjato Mediation Expedition on Saturday, August 24.
The gesture to support the mediation exercise, is borne of the company’s desire for an enhanced mediation practice in Ghana.
It is also to demonstrate the company’s commitment to its corporate social responsibility.
Mrs Janet Danquah, Chief Executive Officer of Joenaa Cakes & Bakes, which also runs a cake training institute, making the offer, lauded the objectives of the mediation expedition, and urged business managers to participate.
That, she said would ensure that “we learn how to resort to mediation to resolve business disputes so as to avoid the courts.”
The management of ADR Daily, organizers of the event which is in collaboration with the Gamey & Co ADR Centre, thanked Joenaa Cakes CEO for the support, and encouraged other organisations to emulate the gesture.
Dozens of mediators and other professionals including lawyers, HR managers, union leaders, media practitioners, school administrators, security officers, business executives and students are joining the expedition to trek Afadjato, Ghana’s highest mountain, on which various mediation and networking activities would be undertaken.
